Relocation Specialist for Michigan Families
As a Certified Relocations Specialist I have completed numerous advanced real estate classes, specific to relocating the entire family. This is mostly due to job transfers moving across the country. These special classes were offered by Prudential Financial, one of the largest R/E Financial institutions in the USA.
I realized early on, the family relocation program is not just listing the home. The family has made a major commitment due to job relocation or some other urgency. To relocate means, focusing on many tasks and the family can use all the help they can get.
The relocation process
includes:
moving the furnishings and all belongings to the next geographic area
working with employer relocation programs
new schools, medical facilities
listing and staging the home they are leaving
overseeing the homes maintenance program such as landscaping, snow service, home cleaning, just to name a few
The key to selling a house for the best price and on a timely manner is, the home must be priced for the market and always be in good showing condition. To keep the relocation process on track, I will also find and interview an experienced realtor at the new location that can offer guidance as to the choices of homes convenient to job, home style, price range, schools, shopping, etc.
When the family has moved, its critically important to communicate with the seller on a regular basis:
as to the status of the home
if any repairs and maintenance are needed
the number of showings and responses
handling offers and contract negotiations
handling all inspections and appointments of other professionals to gain access, reviewing documentations and inspection reports
working with lenders and Title Company
channeling all documentations toward the day of closing.
Many of these tasks are normally handled by the owners, however since the family is already out of town, they need to feel comfortable that nothing is overlooked. What a good feeling to be 100reds of miles away and know that everything is being taken care of. Thats the commitment of a Certified Relocation Specialist.
